Our Experience - Mount Royal
Mount Royal is Montréal's namesake and one of the city's most beloved attractions. Rising above the downtown skyline, this expansive urban park offers beautiful walking trails, peaceful green spaces, and some of the best panoramic views anywhere in the city.
We chose to make the climb on foot, tackling the series of staircases and trails leading to the summit. While the walk is a bit of a workout, it's manageable for most visitors and well worth the effort. Reaching the top and seeing Montréal spread out below made every step worthwhile.
The highlight of any visit is Kondiaronk Belvedere, the iconic overlook that provides sweeping views of downtown Montréal framed by Mount Royal's trees. It's one of the city's most photographed locations and the perfect place to pause, take in the scenery, and capture some unforgettable photos.
